TIOS+ Product Manager

"What do our customers need?" This question is always at the forefront of Bea Rehberg's mind. She is responsible for everything related to TIOS+ (Three-In-One-Solution), our tail-mounted radome solution for Boeing Business Jets. As the responsible product manager, she strategically adapts TIOS+ to the right market at the right time, and is in charge of planning and controlling costs in the process. But she also acts a project manager when it comes to further developing the TIOS concept and adapting it to new platforms and technologies. "I'm always receptive to new things", she says. 

Keeping all the balls in the air

Talks and agreements with the many different interfaces – from customers and suppliers to sales employees and engineers – make up a large part of Bea Rehberg's working life. She also draws up business and project plans, answers questions about the product and helps marketing with preparations for trade fairs. "It is sometimes really challenging to keep all the balls in the air and stay on top of things, especially during project phases," she admits. "But behind every project is a customer, so we do everything in our power to meet the deadlines we agreed to." 

Excited about the future

The latest challenge in the developement of TIOS radomes was to make the well-established Two-in One solution fit for Ka-band frequencies - and so TIOS+  was born. Currently, the TIOS+ platform is being adapted so that it can be installed on BBJ MAX aircraft. Towards the end of 2018, TIOS+ will be available for the Boeing 737 MAX 8. "We hope to be able to equip the entire 737-based BBJ family with our radomes then," Bea Rehberg says proudly. Although she has been working on TIOS for a while now, she is still fascinated with radomes – because they constantly evolve. "I'm very excited to see how the technology develops," she says. "I'd like to expand TIOS+ to other platforms and aircraft types."
