Lufthansa Technik outfits ACJ319neo with high-end VIP interior and LEO connectivity
Lufthansa Technik has completed the VIP cabin outfitting of an Airbus ACJ319neo for an undisclosed private customer. The aircraft received its individual interior in a recent layover at Lufthansa Technik’s base in Hamburg. It is characterized by a modern, high-end design matching the customers’ unique wishes and aspirations. Additionally, it is the first new VIP cabin completion to feature the state of the art Gogo Galileo LEO (Low-Earth-Orbit) satellite internet connectivity solution.
“This fascinating aircraft is a further example of Lufthansa Technik strengthening its role as a technology leader for VIP and Special Aircraft completions”, said Michael von Puttkamer, Vice President Special Aircraft Services of Lufthansa Technik. “With its customized outfitting, ensuring premier levels of comfortable private travel, the aircraft meets and exceeds the highest expectations. To enhance the passenger experience even further, Lufthansa Technik in cooperation with Airbus and Gogo has introduced a new standard in terms of onboard entertainment and connectivity.”
The installation of the Gogo Galileo terminal enables access to high-speed broadband, allowing passengers to enjoy high-quality video conferencing, real-time data transfer, and other online services with low latency anywhere on Earth. Unlike traditional systems that rely on satellites in a geostationary orbit (GEO) at around 42,000 kilometers above Earth, the advanced electronically steered antenna connects with the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite network, orbiting at only 965 kilometers above Earth. The network resilience of the LEO constellation delivers consistent connectivity due to its larger number of satellites, enabling guests on board to remain productive, entertained, and relaxed.
Chadi Saade, President of Airbus Corporate Jets, said: “The ACJ319neo, with its superior space and unrivaled performance and reliability, is the platform of choice for uniquely suited, technologically advanced interiors. This Lufthansa Technik completion, featuring state-of-the-art Gogo LEO connectivity, perfectly embodies the ACJ mission: providing the ultimate cabin environment for global connection and collaboration. This sets a new standard for corporate travel experience.”
Chris Moore, Chief Executive Officer of Gogo, adds: “We are pleased to bring our future-proof technology to the VIP Airbus customer. Passengers are benefiting from seamless, uninterrupted connectivity that mirrors on-the-ground performance and is supported by 24/7/365 in-person customer support. We understand that guests at this level rely on real-time collaboration no matter where they are flying, and with the installation of the Gogo Galileo HDX terminal, together with Airbus and Lufthansa Technik, we are redefining what it means to stay securely connected at 40,000 feet.”
