Chairwoman of Lufthansa Technik Supervisory Board is Grazia Vittadini. She is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Lufthansa Group.
Soeren Stark has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik AG since January 2019. After initially taking charge of the Technical Operations & Logistics divisions, he took over the position of Chief Executive Officer on July 1, 2022. Before transferring to Lufthansa Technik, Soeren Stark managed the Executive Board division Operations at Lufthansa Cargo.
After his graduation, Soeren Stark first worked as a project manager at ICARUS Consulting GmbH in Frankfurt. In 1998 he became a project manager for Logistics Planning at Schott Glaswerke in Mainz where he then served as project manager Supply Chain Management in the industrial glass business unit. In the same year, Soeren Stark became the Head of Logistics in this business unit.
In 2001, Soeren Stark joined the Lufthansa Group as Operations Manager of the Flight Service division Lufthansa Group of the LSG Sky Chefs at the Frankfurt Airport. From 2004 to 2010 he was the Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik Logistics in Hamburg before he became the Aircraft Overhaul Manager of Lufthansa Technik AG in January 2011.
The graduate industrial engineer was born on January 12, 1967 and studied Logistics and Material Flow Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris.
Harald Gloy has been a member of the Executive Board of the Lufthansa Technik AG since July 1, 2022. As Chief Operations Officer (COO), he is responsible for all operations and logistics. In addition, he bears responsibility for the company as "Accountable Manager" in accordance with EASA regulations. As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Labor Director, Harald Gloy also heads the
Executive Board division Human Resources.
Harald Gloy started his professional career in 1999 at Lufthansa Technik Logistics in materials management where he worked first as a project engineer and later as a team leader. In 2003, he joined Lufthansa Technik AG in corporate development and strategy. From 2006 to 2010 he assumed responsibility for the production area of aircraft overhaul and modifications of wide-body aircraft in Hamburg.
Following this assignment, he spent two years in the role of Head of Component Overhaul. In 2012, he transferred to the Engine Overhaul business division where he became Head of Engine Services. From 2014, he was the Business Division Manager responsible for the entire components business of Lufthansa Technik.
As of January 2019, Harald Gloy was appointed to the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG where he held the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO); as of March 2021, he also took over the role of Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director.
The graduate engineer was born in May 1972 and studied at the Technical University of Berlin as well as at Arizona State University (USA).
The Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik will be joined by two new members effective May 1, 2025: Dr. Christian Leifeld and Dr. Janna Schumacher
Dr. Christian Leifeld joined the Lufthansa Group in May 2023 and has been the group-wide Head of Controlling and Risk Management. His focus there is on strengthening performance-oriented business management, improving investment and cash flow planning and digitalizing controlling. In addition, the 47-year-old financial analyst with a doctorate in economics is currently in charge of an efficiency program for the Lufthansa Group's administrative functions, processes, and costs.
His professional career began in 2003 at the management consultancy McKinsey. After founding and serving as CFO of the InterNations start-up (now part of New Work SE), Dr. Christian Leifeld joined the E.ON Group in 2009, where he first held several management positions in finance. In 2017, he took charge of corporate planning and thereafter, for a short time, the Group Controlling, Accounting & Risk division before becoming CFO of E.ON in the Czech Republic from 2020 to 2023, where he was responsible for the network infrastructure and sales business with around 4,000 employees.
Dr. Janna Schumacher returned to the Lufthansa Group in 2014 after having worked for the major international law firm Allen & Overy. For the past four years, she has been Head of Legal, Compliance, Foreign Trade Law and ESG at Lufthansa Technik.
Before joining Lufthansa Technik, the 42-year-old lawyer with a doctorate in law was responsible for labor law in the corporate legal department for several years, working closely with the Lufthansa Group's works and collective bargaining partners.
Dr. Janna Schumacher will take over the newly created Human Resources and Legal department with the formal function as “Labor Director” and additional responsibility for the Original Equipment and Special Aircraft Services division. As General Counsel of Lufthansa Technik, she is currently in charge of Legal, Compliance, Foreign Trade Law and ESG.
