Aircraft maintenance and material support in Italy
Lufthansa Technik Milan provides a full range of aircraft maintenance services, 24/7 AOG (aircraft on ground) recovery and logistics support. Its capabilities include the Airbus A320 family, A330, A350, Boeing 737NG, 777, and 787.
The company is approved for line and base maintenance inside its hangars, defect rectification and complex maintenance layovers. This includes the substitution of major components like engines, APUs, and landing gears, structural repairs, complex modifications, air turbine tests, borescope inspections, and full engine run-ups and NDT tests (non-destructive testing).
The facility operates around the clock and includes a 6,400-square-meter hangar that can accommodate up to four narrow-body aircraft or one wide-body plus two narrow-bodies simultaneously, as well as a separate 1,500-square-meter hangar for a single narrow-body. It also has a temperature and humidity-controlled material warehouse of 2,000 square meters, stocked with more than 1,000 part numbers of consumable material and a sheet-metal shop.
