Lufthansa Technical Training
Competent training center for aviation
Lufthansa Technical Training GmbH (LTT) is a leading provider of training and qualification programs for the aviation industry. The range of courses offered covers everything that the technical staff of maintenance and repair companies and related industries need to know. Lufthansa Technical Training GmbH is the fully owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) and has been founded in 1994. The special competence of the company is its ability to put together from its extensive portfolio of training offerings customized training packages that reflect the latest methods and principles of teaching for every customer.
Lufthansa Technical Training's global activities range from initial training for the annual intake of apprentices at Lufthansa Technik to a variety of training, education and qualification measures for employees and customers of the Lufthansa Group and numerous external companies. The big advantage of the company compared with its competitors is its enormous wealth of experience and a product portfolio that is unique in the market. As a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Technical Training is able to draw on 60 years' experience accumulated by one of the biggest maintenance organizations and on the expert knowledge built up from 50 years' training of qualified personnel for the aviation industry.
Lufthansa Technical Training works with three different forms of training: classic classroom training, practical training and e-learning methods. These are combined with each other in the optimal fashion within particular courses in accordance with the principle of "blended training". Thus, for example, with this coordinated mix of training methods, 50 percent of the tuition could consist of web-based training and 50 percent of classic classroom teaching. One example of a course based on the blended learning method is our "Human Factors" course which is intended to improve skills such as judgment, communication, teamwork and stress resistance.
For the optimal learning success it is essential that the methods employed are tailored to the requirement and that the opportunity to put the skills learned into practice is provided. Classic classroom training and e-learning cannot substitute for practical training, but they do make an important contribution towards creating a better understanding. The close links between Lufthansa Technical Training and Lufthansa and Lufthansa Technik are especially important, as they make it possible to offer practically oriented training.
