Center of excellence for aircraft maintenance in Frankfurt
Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International (LTMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG, was formed on January 1, 2009 to offer maintenance services and technical support to Lufthansa Technik's international maintenance customers. Based on the south side of Frankfurt Airport, the company combines the expertise of the former Lufthansa Technik subsidiary Condor/Cargo Technik (CCT) and the Lufthansa Technik department that was responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the aircraft of international customers before the company was set up.
With some 1,000 employees and a floor space of around 20,000 square meters, the maintenance company has all the required aviation authority approvals and has developed within a short space of time into an important hub of expertise for aircraft maintenance within the globally operating Lufthansa Technik Group.
In addition to carrying out aircraft maintenance for all of the current Airbus and Boeing aircraft types as well as Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of MD-11 and 777 freighters, the company's portfolio of services also includes heavy checks (IL- and D-checks) of the Boeing 757 and 767 series aircraft. As a full-service provider, LTMI offers its customers comprehensive technical support (Total Technical Support TTS®): the range of services extends from cabin interior refurbishment to modifications to avionics/electronics, engine maintenance and engine washing, landing gear replacement as well as structural examinations and maintenance.
A dedicated LTMI Customer Support Center (CSC) for maintenance customers opened in autumn 2010. The CSC is Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International's central point of contact for all technical enquiries of its maintenance customers.
LTMI is also responsible for the product module Technical Operations Management (TOM), which was introduced in autumn 2008. This product, which is part of the integrated Total Technical Support TTS®, allows LTMI to take over the maintenance organization for a customer airline fleet's entire station network. To ensure that all of the services required for smooth technical operations are provided, LTMI can appoint a fleet manager who acts as the central point of contact for the customer and has a coordinating role on-site.
With extensive technical experience and in-depth knowledge of the international airline industry, the maintenance experts of Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International are the right partners when it comes to developing tailored technical operating concepts for efficient aircraft utilization.
