Airfoil Services Sdn Bhd (ASSB) specializes in the repair of Airfoils for High Pressure Compressors (HPC) and Low Pressure Turbines (LPT). The portfolio contains all major civil aircraft engine types.
Our joint venture with MTU Aero Engines AG (50%) has perfected the craft of providing state-of-the-art and cost efficient repairs with market benchmark turnaround times and quality.
The competence center for the repair of engine parts boasts 6,000 square meters of workshop space and a further 2,500 square of office space – offering plenty of scope for further expansion. At the moment, ASSB repairs engine blades for the CF6-50, CF6-80C2, V2500-A5D5, the CFM56-3/-5A/-5C/-5BP series and the CF34 engine types.

Ameco is the largest provider of technical support services for aircraft in China. It specializes in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft, their engines and components. The company is a joint venture between Air China (75%) and Lufthansa.
The company provides you among others with line maintenance, base maintenance, and painting.
Besides aircraft overhauls, the company's service portfolio also includes the overhaul of engine types as Rolls-Royce RB211, Pratt & Whitney PW4000 and CFM International Aero Engines V2500. And the branch of Ameco in Chengdu is the first provider in China which has been authorized by Honeywell Aerospace as a warranty repair station for GTCP 131-9A/B auxiliary power units.
In addition, Ameco offers repair and overhaul services for almost 20,000 components. These include landing gears, tires and brakes, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components, avionics and electrical systems.
Ameco's capabilities on VIP and business jets cover all processes from design, engineering, certification to installation while the products involve entire gamut of modifications and maintenance.
Avionic Design GmbH, a subsidiary and holding of Lufthansa Technik AG, specializes in the development and production of electronic components for use in aviation, in embedded applications, and in the industrial sector. The company's product palette encompasses touchscreen computers, control panels, and state-of-the-art electronic controller systems for special applications in aviation and, selectively, in the health sector. This includes integrated components for system control within the aircraft cabin, e.g. for seating control, for in-flight entertainment, and for cabin management systems.
BizJet International is a fully owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG. Its capabilities include the Airbus corporate jets – ACJ318, ACJ319, ACJ320 and ACJ321 – as well as the A320 family and the Boeing 737 BBJ. The VIP specialist is also one of only two companies outside the Rolls-Royce Group to operate a center for the overhaul of Rolls-Royce Tay and Spey engines.
With approximately 85,000 square meters of premises at its disposal, the company has 34,200 square meters of hangar space with all the necessary workshops for cabin installation work and engine overhauls. In addition the company maintains a fixed base operation (FBO) with aircraft refueling service along with a comfortable pilot's lounge and, in cooperation with Lufthansa Technik Aero Alzey, it also services General Electric CF34 engines at the Tulsa site.
BizJet International now also fits Airbus ACJ318 jets with exclusive cabin systems for VIP customers. Its innovative concept of VIP cabins in standard versions for 14 to 19 passengers allows customers to select their preferred combination of materials and colors for seats, recliners, coverings, carpets, and side panels/trims.
Additionally BizJet International serves as a base for engine dismantling.
EME Aero is our joint venture with MTU Aero Engines AG (50%). This initiative has resulted in the idea of creating one the most advanced engine overhaul service provider for the latest generation of Pratt & Whitney's GTF™ engine series. The state-of-the-art facility is located in Poland, in Jasionka, close to the Rzeszow city. The facility started its operations in January 2020.
EME Aero is one of the world's most advanced and largest shops for the latest generation of commercial aircraft engines. With only 18 months from construction to Entry into Service. Recently, the first regular maintenance visits of Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM Geared Turbo Fan (GTF™) engines was completed. EME Aero has now become an official member in the Pratt & Whitney GTF MRO network.
The full operational readiness is planned for 2026 with annual capacity of more than 450 shop visits. The newly established center will have a staff of more than 1000 qualified employees.
HEICO Aerospace's Parts Group is the world's largest independent supplier of FAA- Approved engine and component parts, holding over 5,000 PMAs and producing more than 400 new, highly engineered, parts each year. The Parts Group offers products for almost every engine platform and most ATA Chapters ranging from nuts/bolts, combustors and rotating airfoils, to fuel pump gears, bronze bearings, interiors, IFE and composite parts.
HEICO Aerospace, in which we hold a 20 percent stake, is the world's biggest development organization, producer and provider of engine and other aircraft components. The company develops and produces high-technology parts and also repairs entire aircraft components. HEICO Aerospace dispatches over four million parts a year – that is, almost half of all the internationally certified, non-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts – to the biggest airlines.

The joint venture will respond to customer requests with innovative complete solutions for interior fittings on executive jets.
Lufthansa Technik Brussels in Belgium is specialized in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of short-haul and long-haul aircraft. The company offers aircraft maintenance (line maintenance, including A checks) for the Airbus A320 family, A330/ A340 as well as various Boeing series.
In addition, it performs structural work, engine and landing gear changes, logistics services and modifications. The company operates under our operating license from the German Civil Aviation Authority (LBA) and is certified under the EASA and FAA Part 145 regulations.
Besides the logistics process and storage of aircraft engines, light "off-wing" engine maintenance tasks can be performed for CFM56 and V2500, such as C-checks, video borescope inspections or component changes. Lufthansa Technik Budapest offers premium quality base, line maintenance and modification services for the Boeing 737 (Classic, Next Generation, MAX) and for the A320 family (Classic, Enhanced, Neo) of aircraft. In 2009, Lufthansa Technik Budapest became Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved repair station.

The US-based state-of-the-art component workshop where all the repairs are conducted, assures the highest level of quality for all component MRO-services. While representing the component division in the Americas, Lufthansa Technik Component Services also works in close collaboration with our component shops in Hamburg and Frankfurt, Germany and Shenzhen, China to assure the best result possible.
Customers benefit from on-site customer service, the complete range of material management, warehousing and 24/7 availability on a variety of aircraft components, such as hydraulic pumps, gear drives and avionics, on stock in large material stores across the US and Canada.
Hamburg is our headquarters, competence and control center. About 7,500 employees work on the premises which are spread out over more than 750,000 square meters: a city within the city with numerous hangars, workshops and office buildings. Our Innovation Center is a research and development center with state-of-the-art test laboratories, production areas and exhibition areas for new products. In Hamburg, we complete VIP aircraft by turning them into "flying palaces", service planes with a special and often scientific mission and provide technical services for military aircraft. About 400 specialists – especially highly qualified experts and commercial artists – work at turning the individual wishes and instructions of the customers into reality.
Our engine shop in Hamburg is one of the largest workshops for the repair of commercial aircraft engines worldwide. The offered services range from repair work and overhauls of engines of different manufacturers, of its modules, individual parts and accessory devices. We are authorized to carry out guarantee work on behalf of the manufacturers for all major engine types. For the repair of highly stressed engine parts we have developed hundreds of repair methods – not just to repair them but to make them better.
Somma Lombardo (VA)
Lufthansa Technik Milan specializes in providing a full range of aircraft maintenance services, 24/7 AOG (aircraft on ground) recovery, as well as logistics services. Capabilities include the Airbus A320 Family, A330, A340, Boeing 737NG, 777 and 787. Lufthansa Technik Milan is approved for A-Checks on A330 and Base Maintenance on A320 Family enabling it to carry out more extensive maintenance work at the Milan base like for example engine and APU changes, structural repairs, complex modification, engine washes, air turbine tests, borescope inspections and full engine run-ups amongst other services.
The company operates round the clock a modern 6,400 square meters hangar that can accommodate up to four narrowbodies or one widebody plus two narrowbodies at the same time and a separate hangar of 1,500 square meters for one narrowbody. It also has a temperature and humidity controlled material warehouse of 2,000 square meters with more than 1,000 partnumbers of consumables material and a sheet metal shop, therefore from single maintenance events to full support programs for Milan-based operators, every request can be catered for.
Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey specializes in the maintenance of turbofan and turboprop engines for regional airliners.
The company is authorized by the engine manufacturers General Electric and Pratt & Whitney Canada to conduct all repair and overhaul work on the GE CF34-3, CF34-8, CF34-10, PW100 and PW150 engine models. These engines are used on short and medium-haul jets – Embraer 170/175, Embraer 190/195, Bombardier CRJ200, CRJ700, CRJ900, CRJ1000, ARJ21, Bombardier Challenger – as well as on turboprop aircraft – Embraer 120, Fokker 50, Dornier 328, ATR-42, ATR-72, MA60, Bombardier Q100, Q200, Q300, and Q400.
Alongside tailored maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engine models listed, including their constituent modules and individual engine components, Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey also offers engineering, on- site support and engine lease services as well as comprehensive logistic support up to and including integrated, comprehensive Total Engine Support (TES®). Maintenance work is also carried out in the Alzey hangars on PW901A and PW901C auxiliary power units (APUs) for the Boeing 747-400 and 747-8i wide-body aircraft.
Lufthansa Technik Component Services Asia Pacific specializes in the supply of equipment and components operating sites in Singapore, Narita (Japan) and also a warehouse in Hong Kong.
A workforce of approx. 40 is active at the site in the areas of sales, customer services, business development, and administration. They benefit from the direct connection with Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen, the local maintenance service provider within Lufthansa Technik Group. The proximity of the sites makes it possible to minimize transport times and costs for materials in need of repair whilst increasing availability.
To further accelerate work processes, we deploy the very latest technologies at the site, such as gate.control box newly developed by Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services. This automatic material recognition system, subject to a pending patent application, provides customers with component services that are both rapid and needs-driven. This makes it possible to further reduce processing times and costs.
Lufthansa Technik Compenent Services Asia Pacific is the Asian counterpart to our American maintenance service provider, Lufthansa Technik Component Services based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with warehouses in Fort Lauderdale, San Fransisco, and New York (JFK).
Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International (LTMI) is one of our 100% subsidiaries. With 150 employees worldwide, the company provides line maintenance and homebase support.
As experts for all aspects of TechOps Management, we support start-up airlines and established carriers alike. With a distinct focus on fulfilment and keeping technical operations as hassle-free as possible, LTMI serves as an interface between airline customers and our in-house divisions.
LTMI runs several stations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa: London (LGW) in the UK, Bucharest (OTP) and Cluj (CLJ) in Romania, Amsterdam (AMS) in the Netherlands, Kigali (KGL) in Rwanda and Tel Aviv (TLV) in Israel. Further facilities exist in Brussels (BRU), Belgium, and Milan (MXP), Italy. The "footprint" is not static, but constantly adapted in accordance with customer needs.
The maintenance experts hold approvals for line and light maintenance for all common commercial aircraft, mainly Airbus and Boeing types including freighters.

Lufthansa Technik Middle East encompasses the complete range requirements for operators of modern commercial aircraft. Furthermore, the company maintains close relationships with all relevant manufacturers. The company offers comprehensive component supply and the repair of structural and composite materials for airline and VIP customers as well as maintenance operations on all short and medium-haul Airbus and Boeing aircraft including Cyclean® Engine Wash service. The Airframe Related Components (ARC) pool provides access to the complete range of spare parts for CFM56-5B and GE90 engines.
Lufthansa Technik Middle East in Dubai is also the central location for the AOG Help Desk and the base for the mobile Airline Support Team, assisting with rapid and comprehensive material and spare parts supply for unplanned incidents around the clock. Depending on the nature of damage, repairs can be arranged and undertaken directly and efficiently at the customer site or, without additional transport costs, in Dubai or elsewhere our tightly integrated network.
Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) is our joint venture with Philippine MacroAsia Corporation (49 percent) for the maintenance and overhaul of Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330-200/-300, A340-200/-300/-600 and the A380 as well as Boeing 777. The MRO specialist is able to offer a full range of services, from the maintenance of aircraft and engines to extensive modifications, cabin upgrades and paintwork for the Airbus A320, A330, A340, Boeing 737 and 747-400. Besides, LTP is the center of competence for the A380. The service spectrum also includes the testing and overhaul of a number of aircraft components.
To ensure that the company continues to guarantee top quality at competitive prices in the future, LTP actively exchanges experience and expertise with other companies in our Group. Thus, for example, Lufthansa Technical Training supports LTP by giving technical courses and training. In this way the trainees can acquire extensive theoretical and practical knowledge that will enable them to gain the internationally recognized EASA Part 66 license amongst other qualifications.
LT holds about 20 approvals from aviation authorities including the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and numerous other national civil aviation authorities.
India's leading carrier, IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd), will send us three aircraft to our site in Manila for lease return checks over the next two years. IndiGo is no stranger to us: In addition to base maintenance checks, we have also supported their V2500 with fan cowl maintenance services. "With Lufthansa Technik Philippines' extensive experience in the maintenance and overhaul of Airbus aircraft, and in helping us meet the lease-return conditions of the lessors, we are happy to entrust the work to a partner that has supported us well in the past", said S.C Gupta, Senior Vice President Engineering at IndiGo.
Lufthansa Technik Services India operates a service center to support airlines in the region and beyond. The company's main focus is on the component services for Airbus aircraft of the types A320 and A330 as well as Boeing 737, 777 and 787. Customers enjoy access on a 24/7 basis to the full service spectrum of integrated and comprehensive Total Component Support (TCS®), ranging from the component pool and materials management to customer service and logistics and transport services.
Lufthansa Technik Services India supports airlines in every aspect of their component maintenance requirements; using our extensive network it has been serving among others: Go Air, Air India and Sri Lankan Airlines. Lufthansa Technik Services India also owns and manages the home base material stock for customers in India for their single aisle aircraft as well as wide body fleet.
Lufthansa Technik Services India guarantees that Indian and South-East Asian customers can count on a fast, local materials service for a growing number of aircraft types and rely on highly skilled customer service in their region. Thanks to its sales team located in Mumbai and Delhi, Lufthansa Technik Services India now offers also single component maintenance (SCM) and is well positioned for the future in this expanding market.
Lufthansa Technik Sofia (LTSF) is our joint venture with the Bulgarian Aviation Group (24.9%) specializing in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of narrowbody aircraft of the Airbus A320 family (Classic, Enhanced and Neo) and the Boeing 737 series (Classic and Next Generation).
About 1,100 highly qualified staff work in a site that extends over a total area of 25,000 square meters. The service spectrum reaches from line maintenance to IL-/D-Checks and includes a full range of additional services such as aircraft painting, special interior works and AOG support. Our modern facility can accommodate and service eight narrow-body aircraft for base maintenance simultaneously and one aircraft in a nose-in position for services such as cabin modifications. In addition, two of the bays have full paint capability. Extensive workshops allow Lufthansa Technik Sofia to perform all base maintenance related work in-house or in close cooperation with other facilities in the Lufthansa Technik Group.
Thanks to the geographic location of Lufthansa Technik Sofia on the south-eastern edge of Europe, the facility is well equipped to meet the future needs of the market in the region. On current forecasts, demand for maintenance services specifically for the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737 is expected to rise steadily over the coming years. Not only are the existing fleets of the low-cost carriers of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa continuing to grow, but at the same time many East European airlines are upgrading their fleets to Western aircraft types.
