Hawker Pacific Aerospace
One of the leading landing gear specialists in the world
Hawker Pacific Aerospace is an international maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider based in Sun Valley, California, USA. Originally founded as a part of British Aerospace in 1980, taken over and fully integrated by Lufthansa Technik AG in 2002, the company is now specialized in the maintenance of landing gears for North and South American customers. With an annual throughput of over 350 landing gear leg overhauls, Hawker Pacific Aerospace is one of the leading landing gear specialists in the world.
With a workforce of approximately 370 employees at its 207,000 square feet facility, Hawker Pacific Aerospace offers FAA- and EASA-certified (US Federal Aviation Administration; European Aviation Safety Agency) landing gear repairs and overhaul services for all major commercial and regional aircraft. Comprehensive capabilities allow Hawker Pacific Aerospace to provide cost-effective lean processes and impressively quick turnaround times. All processes – from cleaning to non-destructive testing, metal machining, chemical plating and painting – are carried out in-house. Complementing its service competency is the availability of landing gear sets. Through Lufthansa Technik's landing gear network, over 70 complete landing gear sets are available for customers for exchange and loan purposes.
By employing an on-site FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER), Hawker Pacific Aerospace is authorized to develop and approve new repair procedures. The company has its own Aircraft on Ground (AOG) team on call ready to assist customers 24/7. Over 15,000 spare parts are available at any time, either individually or in complete sets. Thanks to the AOG teams and the use of replacement components (line replaceable units), no aircraft has to stand idle for longer than is absolutely necessary.
