Chairman of the Executive Board
Dr. Johannes Bussmann
Dr. Johannes Bussmann has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik since September 2012, and Chairman of the Executive Board since April 2015.
Bussmann began his career in 1998 as a product engineer at ABB Mannheim. In 1999, he moved to Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg to work as a development engineer in the Product Management and Development department. In 2001, he became Sales Manager for Asia and Australia, working initially from the company's headquarters in Hamburg and, beginning in 2003, from Singapore. He was appointed Vice President Marketing and Sales in 2005 and Senior Vice President Component Services in 2007 before becoming Senior Vice President Engine Services in 2011.
Bussmann has a diploma degree in aerospace engineering and a doctorate in engineering with a focus on combustion engineering, both from the University of Aachen.
Chief Executive Finance, Corporate Services & VIP
Constanze Hufenbecher joined the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik AG in February 2016. She is responsible for Finance, Corporate Services & VIP.
From 1994 to 1998, Hufenbecher worked with VIAG AG in Munich in the fields of Accounting & Corporate Planning and Corporate Development & Controlling. She then moved to Bertelsmann AG in Guetersloh as Senior Consultant Corporate Controlling & Investments, later serving there as Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions. From 2003 to 2004 she was a partner in a Munich management consultancy. From 2004 to 2009, she served in various senior management roles with Infineon Technologies AG in Munich, finishing her time there as Vice President & General Manager Business Line Manufacturing & Technology Services. In 2010, she returned to the Bertelsmann group, initially as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at DPV Deutscher Pressevertrieb GmbH, a role she held until 2012. From 2012 to 2016, Hufenbecher was Chief Financial Officer for BE Printers and Prinovis Ltd & Co. KG in Hamburg.
Hufenbecher graduated in business administration from the University of Tuebingen.
Chief Executive Human Resources &
Antonio Schulthess has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik since April 2015 and is responsible for Human Resources & Technical Services.
Prior to joining the Personnel Development department at SWISS in 2003, Schulthess served in various positions in Switzerland in the fields of IT and human resources as well as working as a self-employed management consultant. From 2005 to 2011, he was Head of Human Resources and Head of External Affairs and Information Technology at SWISS. In 2011, he became responsible for Human Resources for Lufthansa German Airlines, later assuming responsibility for the same function for the Lufthansa Group as a whole.
Schulthess, who is a Swiss citizen, studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. In addition, he is a trained software engineer and was a military pilot for the Swiss Air Force.
Chief Executive Technical Operations, Logistics & IT
Soeren Stark has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik since January 2019 and is responsible for Technical Operations, Logistics & IT. He is the "Accountable Manager" within the meaning EASA Part 145, Part 21/G and Part M.
After graduation, Stark worked as management consultant and project manager at Icarus Consulting GmbH, Frankfurt. From 1998 to 2001 he served in various positions at SCHOTT Glaswerke in Mainz. 2001, Stark joined the Lufthansa Group as Operations Manager in the Flight Service department of LSG Sky Chefs at Frankfurt Airport. Between 2004 and 2010 he was Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik Logistics GmbH in Hamburg. Stark headed the Base Maintenance Division as Senior Vice President since 2011. In April 2016, he was appointed as member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG.
Stark studied Industrial Engineering with focus on logistics and material handlings in Berlin and Paris.
The supervisory board of Lufthansa Technik AG consists of 16 members.
Chairman is Carsten Spohr, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
