Equal access to leadership positions

In view of the law on equal access for men and women to leadership positions in both private and public sectors, relevant leadership levels, target figures, and target data for promoting the cause of women have been the subject of intense discussions, and targets have been named. 

Lufthansa Technik AG

By the end of the designated period (December 31, 2016) the proportion of women at the Executive Board was 25% and 30% at the Supervisory Board. This meets the target quota determined.
As of December 31, 2016, women held 3.9% and 5.9% of positions in management levels 1 and 2. The target quota set by the Executive Board for both management levels was slightly exceeded.
Based on the status quo on November 1, 2016, the following target figures have been determined to be achieved by December 31, 2021:

  • Supervisory Board 30%
  • Executive Board 25%
  • Management Level 7.7%
  • Management Level 2 6.3%
 

Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International

By the end of the designated period (December 31, 2016) the proportion of women at the Supervisory Board and Executive Board was 0%. This meets the target quota determined by the shareholder's meeting.
As of December 31, 2016, women held 0% and 4.3% of positions in management levels 1 and 2. For management level 1 this meets the target quota determined by the Executive Board, whereas the target for management level 2 of 8.7% could not be reached. It should be noted that the deviation in management level 2 is merely a result of one female manager's current parental leave.
Based on the status quo on November 1, 2016, the following target figures have been determined to be achieved by December 31, 2021:

  • Supervisory Board 0%
  • Management Level 1 0%
  • Executive Board 0%
  • Management Level 2 8.7%

By the end of the designated period (December 31, 2016) the proportion of women at the Supervisory Board, Executive Board, and on management levels 1 and 2 was 0%. This meets the target quota determined by the shareholder's meeting.
Based on the status quo on November 1st, 2016, the following target figures have been determined to be achieved by December 31, 2021:

  • Supervisory Board 0%
  • Executive Board 0%
  • Management level 1 0%
  • Management level 2 16%
