Among the aircraft cared for by Lufthansa Technik's Aircraft Component Services, there is a special place for regional aircraft. With decades of experience in the technical operation of this particular type of operation, Lufthansa Technik has developed a comprehensive range of component services, ranging from the quick and cost-efficient repair of single units such as landing gears and flap tracks, to complete service packages such as Lufthansa Technik's highly successful Total Component Support (TCS®). TCS® offers a unique combination of high in-house repair capabilities and unique repair procedures coupled with state-of-the-art component pooling and component logistics in a global network. 

Center of competence

Because regional airlines have extremely lean structures and tight supply windows due to short cycles, Lufthansa Technik set up a specific center of competence staffed by dedicated regionals contact personnel to meet the special requirements of these operators. This organization deals with all aspects of material planning and control, the development and implementation of supply concepts, customer service and purchasing, plus monitoring of life-times and reliabilities of rotable parts. 

Specialized material managers

Material managers are Lufthansa Technik's specialists for all technical questions, for example on part interchangeability. The small circle of regional aircraft experts can reduce the complexity of Lufthansa Technik in its face to the customer, and thus mirror the customer's organization with little division of labor and a high level of integration. Provision for regional carriers is handled from Munich, Germany, a geographically convenient location served by many regional jet operators, as well as being an international Lufthansa hub. The material store is staffed around the clock and Munich airport also offers a fast "counter service" for AOG.
