Bigger doors for stowage bins
More room for overhead luggage
Many passengers would like to take more hand luggage into the cabin – often meeting difficulties due to the limited luggage volume of the overhead stowage compartments. The result is often extra time needed for boarding, with passengers getting increasingly annoyed in the course of the process. For the Airbus Classic cabin, there is now a simple solution to the problem: new doors for the overhead bins. A new retrofit design increases the overhead baggage capacity by up to 67 percent.
Win-win solution for airlines and passengers
Overhead bins equipped with the new doors accommodate five instead of three roller bags per four-frame luggage bin. The expanded luggage volume is a win-win solution for passengers and airlines: Passengers enjoy improved comfort and ease of boarding, while airlines profit from hassle-free boarding processes and less work on part of the cabin crew. The upgraded look of the cabin as well as the possibilities offered with respect to customization and branding are further highlights of the new product.
