Founded in 1979 as a not-for-profit organization, the WAEA is the official worldwide network, representing nearly 100 airlines and over 250 airline suppliers and related companies, committed to excellence in inflight entertainment (IFE), communications and services, and the continual improvement of the airline passenger environment.

WAEA's annual conference & exhibition is the major industry event for the IFE professional. The event is a showcase for new IFE hardware, software, services and support and the place for learning about the latest IFE market intelligence, opportunities and strategies.

The 31st Annual Conference & Exhibition of the WAEA will take place from 13-16 September 2010 in Long Beach (USA). Lufthansa Technik will be participating with its own booth.

As usual, Lufthansa Technik will showcase the latest innovations and design ideas from the innovation department.

The new niceview® maps.

Key focus will be the presentation of the enhanced niceview®-system with overlay technologies. Furthermore, there will be a showcase with various Passenger Control Units (PCUs) for VIP aircraft as well as for commercial airliners, putting special attention on Lufthansa Technik's consulting competency for customized Inflight Entertainment equipment.
