Change of personnel in top positions at subsidiaries

Hawker Pacific, Shannon Aerospace, Turbine Shannon, Malta

A number of changes in key positions within the Lufthansa Technik Group are set to take place in August.
Thomas Rueckert (39), currently head of the Aircraft Maintenance Center in Berlin, will be taking up the position of CEO of Shannon Aerospace with effect from 15 August. The Lufthansa Technik subsidiary with its staff of around 750 specializes in the overhaul of short- and medium-range aircraft and looks after over 50 airlines.
Martin Kaiser (53), currently CEO of Shannon Aerospace, has been appointed the new CEO of Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon Ltd with effect from 1 August. Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon Ltd employs 150 highly skilled staff and specializes in the overhaul and repair of complex engine components.
Andreas Tielmann (41) is the new Head of the product division Landing Gear Services of Lufthansa Technik Group. In this function he also became President of Hawker Pacific, a 100 percent subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik. Up to now he was Head of Component Services at Lufthansa Technik. Michael Kirstein (40), at present the Managing Director of Hawker Pacific Aerospace Ltd. in London, will be taking up the newly created position of CEO of Hawker Pacific Aerospace Corp. in Los Angeles on 1 August. The American company has a workforce of around 300 and offers extensive services for landing gears and associated components from a number of manufacturers. Ulrich Gaedicke (52), hitherto CEO of Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon, becomes the new Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik subsidiary Hawker Pacific Aerospace Ltd. in London on 1 August. Hawker Pacific Aerospace Ltd. specializes in the overhaul of landing gear for Boeing aircraft. The company has 300 staff at the London site. In their new functions Ulrich Gaedicke and Michael Kirstein will report to Andreas Tielmann.
Nikolaj Schmolcke (45) has been appointed the new CFO of Lufthansa Technik Malta with effect from 15 August. With a staff of around 500, Lufthansa Technik Malta overhauls aircraft in the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families and also the Airbus A330/340. Nikolaj Schmolcke was previously Controller of Engine Overhaul in Hamburg and replaces Immo Eilers in Malta, who is returning to Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg.
