ASSB is a joint venture company between Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines located in Kota Damansara in Malaysia´s State of Selangor, near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

ASSB concentrates on repairing high-pressure compressor blades and low-pressure turbine blades from mayor aircraft engines like CF34, CF6-50, CF6-80, CFM56 and V2500.

The ultra-modern facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and high-technology processes such as a high-velocity oxygen fuel erosion coating, a thermal process for coating CFM56 compressor blades. Another example is the Advanced Recontouring Process (ARP), which restores compressor blade performance using a robotic grinder.

Located on a 5.9 acre site, the new factory comprises 6,000 sqm of floor space and approx 2,500 sqm of office space.
Currently the company has about 350 employees; employment is expected to grow substantially.
