Engine Capabilities

The name Lufthansa Technik signifies since 50 years of experience in maintaining, repairing and overhauling the latest-model aircraft engines. The engine product portfolio includes services offered from Lufthansa Technik Engine Services and Lufthansa Technik Aero Alzey in Germany, Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland and Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon in Ireland, LTQ Engineering in Australia as well as Ameco in China.

Lufthansa is one of the world's most experienced operators of General Electric CF6 series engines; before the introduction of the latest Airbus and Boing types, CF6s were the mainly used powerplants operated in the Lufthansa widebody fleets. GE used Lufthansa's know-how in developing its repair program for CF6 series.

Moreover, Lufthansa Technik is the only independent engine shop world-wide to overhaul the full series of CFMI turbofans.

Lufthansa Technik is a JAR 145 and FAR 145 approved agency and holds airworthiness approvals from more than 30 countries. Lufthansa Technik is a repair-development agency and a certified warranty repair station for CFMI, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney and IAE engines.
